Digital Workforce Project

GXO Logistics partnered with Nestlé to innovate supply chain operations at the East Midlands Gateway site, creating the “Digital Distribution Operation of the Future”.

This partnership has led to significant advancements, improving product availability, reducing lead times, and improving customer satisfaction.

The Digital Workforce project is central to this vision, transforming workforce autonomy and efficiency by deploying tablets and Proglove to warehouse operatives, along with multiple custom software applications.

Key apps include Operations, Non-compliance, Export and H&S apps, which automate and streamline tasks, enhance safety, and improve compliance. Digital Workforce project increased productivity, accuracy, health and safety, and employee satisfaction, with significant cost savings and operations efficiency gains.

This project has also improved the customer satisfaction and strengthened GXO and Nestlé’s relationship.
