Nortek Global
When operational challenges threatened to disrupt Nortek Global’s European supply chain, AMCO, its trusted UK partner suggested a transformation.
Nortek’s dispersed warehousing facilities in Europe were consolidated into a single, third-party managed distribution centre in Dunkerque, France, a venture initiated by AMCO in partnership with Destock Fresh Customs.
The endeavour was complex, encompassing stock transfers, IT system integration, recruitment and training of staff, and equipment procurement.
Upon completion, Nortek’s operations became more streamlined, cost-effective, and efficient.
The consolidation led to a 50% reduction in Nortek’s storage footprint, improved customer satisfaction, and reduced CO2 emissions, aligning with their sustainability goals.
Paul Andrews, AMCO’s Director, was proud of the venture’s success and its contribution to their European market expansion.
Meanwhile, Richard Leese, Nortek’s Operations Director, applauded the transformation’s results, lauding the flexible, scalable warehousing solutions, reduced CO2 emissions, significant cost savings, and enhanced service quality.
The successful collaboration between AMCO and Nortek illustrates how strategic supply chain transformation can catalyse business growth and operational efficiency.
