Railscape Ltd and their drone division, RUAS have designed, built, developed, and patented an unmanned aerial precision sprayer (UAPS) to be attached to a drone.

Specifically designed to deliver pesticides and herbicides against damaging non-native invasive plant species in areas that are considered difficult or hazardous to reach using conventional working at height methods.

While UAPS was designed to operate in the railway environment, the utility of the sprayer provides wider commercial opportunity for other applications in equally challenging environments.

UAPS has been developed to be drone agnostic but within maximum take-off weight limits.

UAPS saves time, resource, reduces risk to life and can save money by preventing further damage to much of the aging railway infrastructure.

The use of the technology upskills the workforce rather than replacing it and further benefits include using lesser amounts of pesticide due to the preciseness of the sprayer when comparing existing methods of delivery.

Railscape are the only company in the UK authorised to spray pesticide from a drone in the UK.
